Florida's largest open-water estuary. Snook, redfish and trout on the flats and mangroves, tarpon at the Skyway and passes, and a huge artificial reef and wreck fishery outside.

Anna Maria to Boca Grande
Sarasota Bay, Lemon Bay, Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island Sound. Boca Grande Pass is the most famous tarpon pass in the world, and the harbor is prime snook and redfish water.

Key Largo to Key West and the Dry Tortugas
Flats, bridges, patch reefs, the reef edge and the Gulf Stream all within a short run. Bonefish, permit and tarpon on the flats; snapper, grouper, mahi, sailfish and more offshore.

Southeast Florida
Miami to Palm Beach
Biscayne Bay flats, the inlets, and the closest Gulf Stream to shore in the state. Sailfish, mahi, kingfish and wahoo run just outside the inlets; snook and tarpon stack up at the bridges.

Jupiter to Sebastian
Indian River Lagoon, St. Lucie Inlet, Fort Pierce Inlet and Sebastian Inlet. One of the best snook fisheries anywhere, plus surf pompano, flounder and wintertime bluefish runs.

Mosquito Lagoon to Melbourne
Mosquito Lagoon, Banana River and the northern Indian River Lagoon. Sight fishing for oversized redfish and gator trout, Port Canaveral for offshore, and the surf for pompano and whiting.
